Lark Harbour is located on the West Coast of Newfoundland, about 45 minutes out of Corner Brook.  It is a small fishing community with a population of about 750 people.  James Cook is the founder of our little town in Newfoundland.  While surveying and charting the coasts in the years 1764 to 1767, he came upon our town and named it after one of his ships, the HMS Lark.

Lark Harbour is the home of the Trappers of St. James All-Grade School, which has approximately 150 students.  Many times throughout the year, the entire school population takes time to participate in fun activities in school, and as well outside of the school, enjoying all the beautiful scenery of the town.  Also, there are little cafe's and restaurants around our community which we all take the time to enjoy as a school.
